Mauli Dave to Co-Host Zee's Rock N Roll Family..

Zee’s Rock-N-Roll Family has roped in singer Mauli Dave as the co-host alongside Sharad Kelkar. The Telly Buzz team got in touch with the singer to know more about her first experience as an anchor.
Speaking about anchoring Rock-N-Roll Family, Mauli says, “I am very excited. It was something unexpected. I had never thought of taking up anchoring, but when I got this offer and I thought why not give it a try. It will be a very good learning experience for me. I am used to speaking Gujarati and English, but now I will get a chance to improve my Hindi too. I am working very hard and I just hope people appreciate me in this new persona.”

Being from a singing background, what made Mauli take up anchoring? Mauli replies, “I have a background in both singing and dancing, so I have no problem doing both. And there not much of a difference between a singing and dancing reality show.”

Commenting on the judges and her co-anchor of the show, Sharad Kelkar, Mauli says, “I am very fortunate to get the opportunity to work with such esteemed actors. I cannot say more than that, as I haven’t started shooting for the show yet. Sharad is a very down to earth and nice person.”

Speaking about her future plans the belle says, “I have not decided anything as yet. I am just waiting to see what offers I get.”

Catch Kajol and Ajay Devgan for the first time judging a reality show

Zee TV launches its first ever dance show where three generations from one family come together and battle it out to be the proud recipients of the coveted 'Rock-N-Roll Family'. The jury consists of Kajol, Ajay Devgan and Tanuja. The show is a family dance competition. Here the eligibility to participate is that at least one member from three generations of a family should be there, (that is, grandfather, father and son or grandmother, mother and daughter) if a family wants to participate. Sharad Kelkar of Saat Phere will be the anchor of the show and Mauli Dave, the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge finalist will be co-hosting with him. The show will be aired every Friday and Saturday starting from March 14 at 10 pm IST on Zee TV

Ajay Devgan's smoking resolution

Ajay Devgan, who adorns the hot seat as one of the Judges of Zee's upcoming dance reality show, Rock N Roll Family took to a one day resolution when a family from Ghaziabad's thought-provoking dance on the theme, 'Smoking is injurious to health' touched his heart. Can you guess what the resolution was? Well, the actor decided to go without his pack of cigarettes for one day as a mark of respect to the performance. Payaol Patel, Creative Head says, "It was a nice gesture that came from Ajay when he decided not to smoke for the whole day. This surprised one and all, including Kajol and Tanuja". Ajay and Kajol to judge Rock N Roll Family

Mumbai: Ajay Devgan and his wife Kajol Devgan alongwith mother Tanuja graced the launch of Zee TV 1st ever dance show that spans across generations titled 'ROCK N ROLL FAMILY' in which three generations of a family come together in a dance competition. The event was held in Mumbai at JW Marriot hotel in Juhu, Santacruz today evening Airtel Rock N Roll Family will be anchored by TV actor Sharad Kelkar.

A star family is judging a reality dance show. Kajol, Ajay Devgan and Tanuja is on Zee TV’s ‘Rock N Roll Family’ show. The show brings together three generations of a family to dance together. So you have the grand-parents, parents and grand children. The show went on air on March 14. A total of 12 families from across the country have been selected. The best family will bag the title of the ‘Rock N Roll Family’. The show is on Fri-Sat 10 pm on Zee TV.

The judges appreciate that they performed better than their previous ones.

Ajay as well as Tanujaji asked Mr.Gupta to spend more time with his family in rehearsals so that they improve from better to best. The kid was also appreciated for his performance. Overall it was a fine performance

A dramatic & shocking situation arose behind the stage where all the families were supposed to sign a legal agreement with Zee, when it is discovered that two of the families did not have immediate family members in their team as per the rule.

Mr. Kapoor from Jaipur, head of family who had declared that Deepak is not his real son. He is his elder brother’s son.

His elder brother was not in the condition (financially & physically) to take care of Deepak in his childhood, therefore Mr. Kapoor has adopted him.

Similarly in the Ubale family of Pune, Mrs. Ubale's elder sister, who brought up Mrs.Ubale like her daughter,

In this scenario Ajay, Kajol & Tanuja undoubtly appreciated what they had done for their respective family member, but Ajay was seriously said that the rules should be treated as rules & are meant to be followed.

Everybody has a difference of opinion to handle the situation. Now the question is thrown to the TV audience

If audience respond in favour of the two families, then they continue to perform in the following episodes.

If not, next week Rock N Roll Family will have three eliminations, as the 2 families would be disqualified for not following rules & hiding the true identity of each family member of their team
